Owner Phillipe Chow honed his skills at the famed Mr. Chow before striking out on his own. Philippe draws upon his classical culinary training, putting his own spin on traditional Chinese cuisine with results that are modern, flavorful and theatrical. At his new digs, patrons share satays and spring rolls on leather couches in the lounge, while more upscale consumption occurs at white cloth-covered tables in four distinct dining rooms. The atmosphere at the restaurant is minimalist and stylish, with a devoted nightly following that makes up a virtual "who's who" of the music, media and film industries. The menu offers a selection of main dishes intended for sharing, such as nine seasons prawns, drunken sea bass served in white wine, and peeking duck.
